Barbecuing is a great opportunity to relax and have a good time cooking with your family and friends. The great thing about barbecuing is that you can experiment with different rubs, mops, and marinades until you find the flavor you like. You can experiment with creating your own rubs, mops, or marinades. If that's not for you, you can go to the grocery store and buy one that you like. That is fine too! The best way is to just mix different seasonings you like in a bowl and then taste it. If it has a good flavor then rub it on a nice piece of meat and barbecue it. It's that easy! It's all about what you like!
Barbecuing is a trial and error process. It takes time to develop that special blend of seasonings that you can call your own. In my opinion it is best if you cook for yourself. If you cook for yourself then you are going to find that perfect rub, mop, or marinade. Once this happens then you can start inviting friends and family over and see how well your barbecue really is. Believe me, if someone doesn't like what you made you're going to hear it! Especially if they have been drinking some "cold ones". Remember to always write down your recipes just in case you do develop that perfect rub, mop, or marinade. A lot of times you will find yourself mixing a variety of seasonings together and then forget the amount of each seasonings you used. If the recipe does not work out then just throw out the recipe.
Always make sure that your barbecue is cooked thoroughly before serving. That way nobody gets sick and never returns. Using thermometers is the best way to check for doneness in your barbecue. Once you get the hang of barbecuing and grilling you will see that you will no longer use the thermometers.
